Celebration of the National Day of Egypt in Serbia reveals why Egypt is considered as „The mother of civilization"

Ancient Egyptian antiquities displayed in virtual reality technique, Um Kalthoum’s „Enta Omri“ played on oud, Egyptian folklore music and dance, and the famous delicious Egyptian cuisine were just a small piece  of an outstanding atmosphere during the celebration of the National Day of Egypt held in the National Museum in Belgrade.

„Let’s Learn about Serbia“  attended the ceremony and will show you some photos.

When we walked in the Museum, the Embassy’s staff with H.E. Ambassador Amr Aljowaily warmly welcomed us and we immediately realized why Egyptians are considered as the most hospitable nation in the world.

The Egyptians and the Egyptian Embassy as well, enjoy great respect in Serbia and therefore we were not surprised when we saw at the ceremony a large number of Serbian government officials, Serbian Parliament Speaker, government ministers, respected university professors, members of the Islamic Community of Serbia,  distinguished individuals ...

In his opening speech, H.E. Amr Aljowaily pointed that both Serbia and Egypt have many common things and that there are many ideas that can develop even better relations between the two nations cherishing brotherhood.

The star of the program was definitely a dance group „Reda“ from Egypt which showed remarkable talent and skills in Egyptian folk dances. The breathtaking moment  of the event was when a well-known artist Shadi Shamel started playing the most popular Egyptian melodies on  Arabic music instrument  „oud“ including the „ Egyptian evergreen song „Enta Omri“.

Shadi Shamel with oud made an audience speechless

                                                                         Reda

A guide from the museum kindly informed us that some Egyptian antiquities, such as the Egyptian mummy, have already been set up at the National Museum in Belgrade and that we can see them exhibited on the second floor.

In the end, every participant was able to see the most famous Egyptian antiquities from all over the Egypt in 3D-Virtual reality dimension.

We sincerely wish once again Happy National Day to the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Serbia and to all Egyptians from all around the world.

                                                                                   Lets learn about Serbia team
